Put routine reminders on a schedule
Some lesson reminders repeat every week or every cycle. Students may need to bring equipment, complete preparation, open a form, review notes, or finish a short task before the lesson.
Class Add-Ons Scheduler helps you auto-publish those reminders in Google Classroom. You write the reminder once, choose the schedule, and add any links or attachments students need.
Examples of lesson reminders
Recurring lesson reminders can support:
- Preparation tasks before a lesson.
- Equipment reminders.
- Reading or revision prompts.
- Links to forms or resources.
- Homework deadlines.
- Retrieval practice routines.
The reminder appears in Google Classroom at the scheduled time, so students can see it alongside their usual classwork.
Keep reminders short and practical
Lesson reminders should be clear. Tell students what to do, when to do it, and where to find the resource. If the reminder repeats, add an end date so it stops when the routine changes.
Start with one repeated reminder
Pick one reminder that you currently post by hand. Schedule it, check that it publishes correctly, then add other recurring lesson reminders where automation makes sense.
