Last updated: 5 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Class Add-Ons collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects personal information when you use Class Add-Ons Scheduler and our related websites.

Class Add-Ons is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy unless we say otherwise. You can contact us at hello@classaddons.com.

Summary

We try to collect only what we need to run Class Add-Ons Scheduler. In practice, this means we use your Google account to sign you in, request the Google Classroom and Google Drive access needed to create and manage scheduled classwork, process subscriptions through Paddle, and use limited website analytics to understand how the service is used.

We do not sell personal information. We do not store student passwords. We do not use Google user data for advertising.

Information we collect

When you create or use an account

When you sign in with Google, we may collect:

  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • your Google profile picture;
  • your Google account identifier;
  • OAuth access and refresh tokens needed to provide the service; and
  • account settings, plan status, scheduling configuration, and activity needed to run your scheduled tasks.

Google Classroom and Google Drive data

Class Add-Ons Scheduler requests access to Google Classroom and Google Drive so that it can perform the actions you choose. Depending on the permissions you grant, we may access information needed to:

  • view the Google Classroom classes available to your Google account;
  • view classroom topics and classwork metadata;
  • create, update, schedule, or delete classwork selected by you;
  • attach selected Google Drive files or links to classwork; and
  • send or record operational status information about scheduled tasks.

We use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing features you request, to maintain security, to troubleshoot, and to comply with applicable law. Our use and transfer of Google user data is intended to comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

When you buy or subscribe

Payments and subscriptions are handled by Paddle. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for our paid orders and may process payment details, billing information, renewals, refunds, tax compliance, fraud checks, and customer service relating to payment transactions.

We do not receive or store your full card details. We may receive transaction, subscription, plan, and billing-status information from Paddle so that we can provide paid features.

When you contact us

If you contact us by email, support channels, or social media, we may collect your name, contact details, message content, and any information needed to respond to your request.

Website analytics and technical data

We use Cloudflare for hosting, security, caching, and analytics. Cloudflare may process technical information such as IP address, browser, device, pages visited, referral information, and request metadata. We use this information to protect the service, understand website usage, and improve performance.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • create and manage your account;
  • authenticate you with Google;
  • provide Google Classroom scheduling features;
  • run scheduled tasks that you configure;
  • attach selected Drive files or links;
  • send service emails and operational notifications;
  • provide support;
  • process paid subscriptions and plan access;
  • secure, debug, and improve the service;
  • prevent misuse, fraud, or abuse; and
  • comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

Legal bases for processing

Where UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, our legal bases may include:

  • contract: to provide Class Add-Ons Scheduler and paid subscriptions;
  • consent: for optional marketing emails or permissions where consent is required;
  • legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, improve, and support the service; and
  • legal obligation: where we must keep records or respond to lawful requests.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only where needed for the service, legal compliance, or business operations. This may include:

  • Google, when you authenticate or when the service performs actions you request through Google APIs;
  • Paddle, for subscription, payment, tax, renewal, refund, and fraud-prevention handling;
  • Cloudflare, for hosting, caching, security, and analytics;
  • service providers that help us operate, maintain, monitor, or support Class Add-Ons;
  • professional advisers, insurers, auditors, or accountants where necessary; and
  • regulators, courts, law enforcement, or public authorities where legally required or where needed to protect rights, safety, or the service.

If Class Add-Ons is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.

International transfers

We aim to store and process information in the United Kingdom and European Union where practical. Some providers may process information in other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions, contractual protections, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

Security

We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption, access controls, and limited access to production systems. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to reduce risk and protect the information needed to provide the service.

You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure and for controlling which Google permissions you grant or revoke.

Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide your account and the service. We may keep some information for longer where required for legal, tax, accounting, security, dispute-resolution, or legitimate business reasons.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it. Anonymised information may be kept and used indefinitely because it no longer identifies you.

Google permissions and revocation

You can revoke Class Add-Ons access to your Google account through your Google account security settings. If you revoke access, some or all Scheduler features may stop working because we can no longer perform the Google Classroom or Google Drive actions you requested.

You can also contact us at hello@classaddons.com if you need help closing your account or deleting service data.

Marketing emails

We only send marketing or product update emails where we have permission or another lawful basis to do so. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email or by changing your preferences where available.

Operational emails about your account, subscription, security, or scheduled tasks may still be sent where necessary to provide the service.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • access personal information we hold about you;
  • correct incomplete or inaccurate information;
  • request deletion of your personal information;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • request portability of your information;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
  • complain to a data protection authority.

For UK users, you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how your personal information is handled. We would appreciate the chance to respond first, so please contact us at hello@classaddons.com.

Children’s information

Class Add-Ons Scheduler is intended for teachers, schools, and other authorised users. It is not intended for direct use by children. Teachers and institutions are responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate authority to use Google Classroom and related classwork data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to bring the changes to your attention, such as updating this page or notifying account holders.
